Slingshot used on Postmark Paradise screened at AFI Fest 2000 |
Postmark Paradise is a touching drama that follows a mail order bride who comes to America to escape the limited lifestyle of modern day Russia. She comes to Paradise, MI, as a "gift" for a local bar regular. Seeking a loving husband she finds unexpected friendships from the townspeople instead. "It is an amazing feeling to know that such a remarkable movie was put together," explains Barry Silver, President of Trakker Technologies, "And Slingshot helped to complete the transfer back to film." Slingshot was used to transfer the EDL into a negative cut list, allowing the editors to finish their edit on film. Postmark Paradise had its World Premiere at AFI Fest 2000 and was in competition for the New Directions Award. It was directed by Thompson Clay and edited by Michael Deering. |
