Trakker Technologies launches ConvertMyEDL.com, offering 24P EDL conversion through an innovative new web-based application.

Trakker Technologies now brings to 24P its world-renown matchback capabilities in a web-based application called ConvertMyEDL.com!

April 23, 2000 (Las Vegas, NV) --- Trakker Technologies announces a new web-based product that makes it easy for filmmakers to take advantage of the new 24P high definition video standard. A filmmaker would shoot their movie at 24P high-def and then transfer the raw footage to 30fps NTSC (or 25 fps PAL) for offline editing. Once the edit is complete, the filmmaker would use Trakker's new on-line application, ConvertMyEDL.com, to convert their NTSC (or PAL) Edit Decision List (EDL) back to a 24P high-def EDL. The launch of this new product is being announced at NAB 2001.

"Ever since 24P cameras were a reality, filmmakers have been demanding an easy way to convert their EDLs," states Barry Silver, President of Trakker Technologies, "We heard their cries and created an easy-to-use, web based application that can offer this functionality at an extremely attractive price."

ConvertMyEDL.com is a web-based application providing the ability to convert any 30fps NTSC or 25fps PAL video EDL back to a 24P high-def EDL. Similar to Trakker's flagship product, Slingshot, ConvertMyEDL.com will work with any video NLE that can export either a GVG or CMX EDL. Similarly, it can save the filmmaker thousands of dollars and countless hours of post-production time.

"We've received so many inquiries about a "Slingshot for HD" we decided the time was ripe to launch this new product," explains Robert Mathieu, Director of Technology. "Given the adoption of the web as a true productivity tool, we felt it was also best to launch this capability as an online "instant access" service," continues Mathieu.

Trakker Technologies will be offering this product via ConvertMyEDL.com in early May 2001.
