Trakker Technologies Advances the "Indie" Trend in Film Making With the Debut of Film Cut at NAB 2000

April 4, 2000 (Las Vegas, NV) --- Trakker Technologies today announces their participation at NAB 2000, held from April 10 13. During this time Trakker Technologies will be showing demonstrations of Film Cut, an application designed specifically to speed up the process and lower the cost of post-production for the independent filmmaker. Demonstrations will be held at the booths of Intelligent Media (booth # M9919) and Fast Multimedia (booth # S4150) throughout the show.

In the past two years, there's been a dramatic shift from the traditionally expensive digital editing systems to the more economical and practical systems that are currently available. The Slingshot product line has helped thousands of people who have chosen to move to digital video NLEs to edit film. Through Slingshot's "matchback" process editors can edit their films as accurately and efficiently as the more expensive Avid or Lightworks systems with the same professionalism.

Trakker Technologies has used the technology of matchback to not only grow with the ever-changing film environment but to also offer editors the flexibility of a software that can be used with any video editing system, PAL or NTSC. In this way, Slingshot turns your digital video editing system into a digital film editing system.

"We are very proud to be a part of NAB 2000. I believe we are marking the beginning of a new era in film editing," exclaims Barry Silver, President of Trakker Technologies, adding, "We are happy to provide cutting edge technology at a time when the market really needs it."

With the Slingshot product line, Trakker has been addressing the needs of the new world of digital media. Now, with the birth of Film Cut, Trakker has given more depth to the film matchback family by creating a product that allows the editors with even the strictest of budgets the opportunity to edit their film as professionally as if they were using a dedicated film editing system. Film Cut works with any video editing system and was designed specifically for the independent filmmaker.

"With Film Cut, we've created an introductory version of Slingshot that gives everyone, regardless of experience level or budget, the ability to begin down the path of professional digital film editing," states Robert Mathieu, Director of Engineering.

Trakker Technologies is committed to the advancement and improvement of the post-production industry and all who are involved. Their products and services are geared toward creating exceptional real-world solutions to real-world needs at a price that people can afford.
